The more complicated the technology applied is, the more important it becomes to guarantee a constant power supply.
All data processing centre and telecommunication
systems have to be protected from problems of power
supply. Loss of data and troubles in system affected by power
failure or fluctuation of current have to be avoided.
A simple possibility to avoid damage or malfunction caused by power failure is the use of the uninterruptible power supply (UPS). On the one hand constant power is supplied and on the other irregularities deriving from the supply system are eliminated in one operation.
In case of a total power failure, a battery feeds the devices topping the UPS. In case of full load the topped systems are supported up to 10 min. and up to 30 min. in case of half load. Protection of people and equipment is guaranteed by that.
UPS - devices up to 3000 V. A. are single-phase designed. The broad range of input voltage from 110 V - 240 V +/- 25% at 47-65 Hz allows worldwide use.
It is possible to choose output voltages ranging from 100 V - 240 V +/- 3% at 50 or 60 Hz. Refer to the output there is a sinusoidal voltage available.
To increase the output parallel working is possible.
Considering power up to 100 k V.A. three-phased devices with input and output voltage of 220 V - 400 V and 50/60 Hz are applied.
Example: Micro 1000 Sinewave 100VA
Input | Output |
110 V | 110 V |
230 V | 230 V |
110/230 V | 110 V |
